However, I think it ties directly into our spirituality which is different for everyone.

Personally I believe we are here to resolve our karmic links with one and other, redefine the negative aspects of our consciousness, learn/grow/ and be challenged.
One look at nature and I believe it is apparent that we are not supposed to stagnate in one place (physically, and metaphysically) but observe the beauty each day brings with tremendous opportunity to reinvent ourselves.
I see us as spiritual beings having a physical experience.
Essentially we are blessed to be here, with only the present ever existing, and ours to define.
